Former UCONN Basketball Star Arrested For Felony Robbery


34-year old Ben Gordon, former NBA and NCAAA star, was arrested Saturday for felony robbery according to USA TODAY.

LAPD arrived at the downtown LA complex where Gordon was renting. Gordon approached the apartment manager about his security deposit and punched him in the face when the manager claimed he did not have access to it. Gordon left and came back with a knife demanding all of the deposit as the manager gave him a small amount. A witness stepped in and LAPD was called.

Earlier this year, Gordon was arrested for pulling the fire alarms in the complex and in October was hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation after a fight with a female art a holistic wellness center in his hometown Mount Vernon NY.

He won a NCAA championship with the UCONN Huskies & Jim Calhoun in 2004 and was the 3rd overall pick in the 2004 draft. He played for the Bulls, Pistons, Bobcats (now Hornets) and Magic before ending up in the d-league.
