‘House Of Cards’ Cancellation Cost Netflix $39M


Kevin Spacey’s sexual assault/misconduct allegations had the hit show ‘House of Cards’ thrown out by Netflix and it hit them hard. According to CNN Money, canceling the show and biopic Gore cost them $39M. Back in Season 1, it cost $500,000 an episode.

Spacey has been accused of making sexual advances toward actor Anthony Rapp in 1986 when he was 14-years old. Spacey also admitted to being gay.

Other projects have been affected by the way of sexual allegations in Hollywood. ‘The Ranch’ was suspended after Danny Masterson was accused of rape. Louis C.K. was charged with sexual harassment and Netflix had a stand-up special with him according to TV Guide.
