Jalen Merriweather was a star basketball player who had so much to live for. The 18-year old’s life was cut short as he did what any brother would do for their sister.

Jalen was shot and killed last weekend when his older sister’s ex-boyfriend pistol whipped her at Broadmore Gardens Apartments on James I. Harrison Jr. Parkwayin Tuscaloosa Alabama according to AL.com. Donald Robertson, 48, also took shots at his ex-girlfriend after he shot her brother. He is still on the run.
