Several sources report that Nikolas Cruz made a comment on a YouTube video back in September that he was going to do what he did yesterday in south Florida.

17 people, students and teachers, were killed yesterday at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Cruz left a message “I’m going to be a professional school shooter” on a YouTube video about the 1966 University of Texas shooting in September.

36-year old Ben Bennight reported the comment to the FBI then and was interviewed the following day. He told BuzzFeed, “They came to my office the next morning and asked me if I knew anything about the person. I didn’t. They took a copy of the screenshot and that was the last I heard from them.” He was contacted yesterday about the September complaint.
