Protestors forced the Sacramento Kings to close their entrances twice over the past week after Stephon Clark, 22, was shot and killed by police earlier this month.
According to Bleachers Report, the Kings support and recognize something needs to be done. They Kings have partnered with Black Lives Matter and Black Coalition to “help transform Sacramento”. They have also set up an education fund for his children.
Clark was shot 20 times on March 18 in the backyard of his grandparent’s home. Police were responding to a call of someone breaking windows and claim they feared he had a gun. It was in fact his cell phone. Clark will be buried today per YAHOO reports.
