A deal has been reached between the Spanish tax authorities and soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. Per NY Post, the 33-year old Real Madrid forward has to pay up $21.8 million for tax evasion.
He was sentenced to two years in prison but due to Spanish laws that if it’s your first offense and the sentence is under two years, it can be served as probation.
Lucky break for Ronaldo. I would say not for his pockets but per Forbes, Ronaldo is the second highest paid soccer player with $108 million.
Portgual is set to play Spain today at 2 p.m. EST.
