Broward County Sheriff’s department released a statement that Jahseh Onfroy, rap name XXXTentacion, was killed in a robbery gone wrong. TMZ reports claim two black males wearing hoodies approached X when he was leaving RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach. One of the suspects was wearing a red mask and seen driving a black Dodge Journey SUC with tints and black wheels.  A Louis Vuitton bag was stolen of of X’s BMW.

The sheriff’s public information officer Keyla Concepcion believes only one of the suspects shot X.

A witness told ABC 7 she heard three shots as she was down the street from the shooting.

His lawyer, David Bogenschutz, told the Sun Sentinel that X “went to the bank before it happened. I think the determination was that he wanted to buy a motorcycle But (detectives) aren’t discounting any theory.”
