Spotify Took XXXTentacion’s Music Down for ‘Hateful Conduct’ But After His Murder, Promotes His Music For Streams

SPOTIFY

20-year old rapper XXXTentacion was murdered in Florida and his music is currently the most streamed artist.

Now not too long ago, Spotify removed his music due to their new policy “Hateful Conduct Policy”. In May, they claim it created confusion and concern and removed the policy and they placed his music back.

When he was killed, they added new tracks “SAD!” and “Moonlight”. Many are outraged as Spotify clearly using this untimely death as a gain for their platform. Others call hypocrisy with the promotion when they removed it before.
