A Pittsburgh officer was only sworn into the department before using his gun.
Per NBC News, Michael Rosfeld has been charged with one count of criminal homicide after he shot a 17-year old in the back. Antwon Rose was shot three times in the back on June 19 after running during a traffic stop. According to police, the car Rose and two others were in matched a description of a car that was involved in a drive-by earlier that day. .
Protests erupted once the footage was released on social media. There are mixed reactions as you can imagine. Some argue that he shouldn’t of ran away when the cops pulled them over. Others claim that there was no reason to shoot him.
Rosfeld is being held on a $250,000 bond.
It’s a step in the right direction but we’ve seen in the past couple of years how this plays out. Hopefully justice will be served.
