Connecticut Restaurant Settles Lawsuit For Fatal Crash That Killed 2, Including Wife of ESPN Broadcaster Chris Berman

The Market Place Kitchen and Bar in Woodbury Connecticut settled a lawsuit filed by one of the victim’s families in the May 2017 fatal crash.

Katherine Berman and Edward Bertulis were killed in the crash after Berman rear-ended Bertulis. According to new reports, Berman was drunk at the time of the crash.

The Hartford Courant reports that police determined Katherine Berman was speeding and did not apply her brakes before crashing into a car driven by 87-year-old Edward Bertulis. – NY Post

Her blood-alcohol level was three time the legal limit.

Bertulis’s family sued the restaurant for “over-serving” Mrs. Berman.
