A man has been shot dead by Danbury Connecticut police after reports claim the man charged at the officer.

Around 9:30 p.m, calls were coming in about a “suspicious” man near Glen Apartments in downtown Danbury.

Officer tried to tase the man after a “brief confrontation” but it didn’t work. The officer then fired multiple shots, one bullet hitting the man killing him.

A woman was also hit but in stable condition. She was related to the victim.

The shooting is under investigation.
