The Giants general manager Dave Gettleman had a press conference today about the future of the Giants. He spoke about Eli Manning, the defense, the offensive line and star player Odell Beckham Jr.

Giants lost the last three games as Beckham Jr. was out with a quad injury.

“They did what they did with him and they did what they did without him,” said Gettleman.

After a blowout against the Titans in Week 15, Giants lost to the Colts and Cowboys by one point, both teams making playoffs.

Rumors started going around that Beckham may get traded for a quarterback as Manning is on the decline. Reports did say that the San Francisco 49ers are planning to pursue Beckham this offseason. When asked at the news conference about trading Beckham, Gettleman responded with a dumbfounded look.

“We didn’t sign him to trade him.”

When it comes to Manning, “We had a good conversation.”

Gettleman wants Giants fans to believe in him and head coach Pat Shurmur. “We’re going in the right direction – will continue to fix this.”
