It’s been two years since the high school football player went missing after a night with his friends. On January 9 2019, Thomas Brown’s remains have been found.
According to Texas DPS Spokesperson Cindy Barkley, forensics confirmed the remains found on the side of a road near Lake Marvin belong to the 18-year old.
Brown went missing in November 2016 after hanging with friends and did not return by curfew. They found his car in a remote area and his phone, laptop, backpack and keys were missing. Months later, his backpack and phone were found miles away from where his was located. His family was unsatisfied with the police investigation and hired their own private investigator.
“We ask for prayers for our family, Thomas’s friends and our community,” said Penny Kendall-Meek, Thomas’s mother.
Cause of death is unknown at this time.
