Jussie Smollett, known for his role as ‘Jamal Lyons’ in “Empire”, was hospitalized according to the Chicago Police Department after being attacked by two suspects.

Per reports, the two suspects yelled out racial and homophobic slurs at Smollett while he was walking. They then attacked him and poured unknown chemical substance on him. Then they wrapped a rope around his nick and fled the scene.

Reports state he is in good condition and police are investigating.  The Chicago police spokesperson Anthony Gugliemli released a statement:

Overnight, the Chicago Police Department received a report of a possible racially-charged assault and battery involving a cast member of the television show Empire. Given the severity of the allegations, we are taking this investigation very seriously and treating it as a possible hate crime. Detectives are currently working to gather video, identify potential witnesses and establish an investigative timeline. The victim is fully cooperating with investigators and we ask anyone with information about this incident to contact Area Central Detectives at 312-747-8382 or report it anonymously to www.cpdtip.com.

  1. I call BULLSHIT! I find it suspicious that all of sudden “hate crime” seems to be on the rise just in time for the dems to start their road tours of anti Trump mania. This is clearly made up, just as that restaurant owner that says 2 older white people left an anti immigrate not on the back of a receipt. Again, BULLSHIT! Fake News to feed the liberal lunes.
