Blake Griffin, DeMar DeRozan Feel Some Type of Way That Carmelo Anthony Is Still Not Signed

The last two seasons for Carmelo Anthony haven’t been the most memorable. In 2017, the new ‘Big 3’ talks began when Anthony joined Russell Westbrook and Paul George in the Oklahoma City. In 2018, he was part of another possible ‘Big 3’ signing with the Houston Rockets who have James Harden and Chris Paul. None of those panned out and Anthony has been off the basketball court since January 22.

Anthony came into the league in 2003 with LeBron James and Dwayne Wade and compared to those two, many would say Anthony’s career is a wrap. However, according to Woj, there are talks that Anthony may reappear with the Los Angels Lakers who are having a drama-filled season.

“It’s definitely crazy not to see him out there,” Spurs DeMar DeRozan said about Anthony. “I’m confident he will be back out there.”

Memphis Grizzlies’ C.J. Miles feels that people forgot how talented he is.

“He still has a lot in his tank, and he can still play this game. I think situations have gone his way but the slander talk is crazy a lot of the time.”

“Melo is a Hall of Famer,” Detroit Pistons Blake Griffin said, “I don’t think they remember how good of player he was and still is.”

The Rockets blamed Anthony for their losing streak, Anthony was averaging 13.4 points per game, 3 assists and 6.5 rebounds off the bench, his first time ever being a bench player in his 15 year career. Miami Heat Dwyane Wade said back in November 2018 that Anthony wasn’t the problem.

“Trying to make my guy Carmelo Anthony the fall guy huh!? Man y’all need to stop. That’s the easy way out instead of addressing what the real problem is.”

Rockets have moved up to the 4th seed since his departure and the Lakers, the team many believe he will end up on, are 11th.
