
While college students and young adults were enjoying a good time in downtown Denmark South Carolina, an argument emerged and gunfire at the rental hall.
Per WIS News, two Denmark Tech college basketball players were shot and one of them, 20-year old Jordan Parsons, died. The other player, whose name has not been released, is recovering in the hospital. Another person was also wounded in the shooting.
Head coach Jamar Washington said Parsons was a leader.
“Kept guys straight, always was the one that when we put in for the huddle he had something positive to say,” Washington said.
Parson, from Homestead Florida, was pursing a degree in Science while playing for the basketball team.
