Leonardo DiCaprio has his share of phenomenal movies but Titanic will always stand out as a fan favorite. After all these years, 1997 film is still top three for the most grossing film worldwide, sitting at $2.187 billion. The number on film is 2009’s Avatar and 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.
The three hour and fifteen minute movie starts with DiCaprio as Jack Dawson, a poor painter who stops a first-class woman Rose Dewitt Bukater (Kate Winslet) from committing suicide on the Titanic. After he saves her, Jack, Rose and her fiance Cal all become “friends”. Jack steals Rose, the Titanic hits an iceberg during this love triangle and then we all know the end: Jack lets Rose lay on a floating door while he freeses to death.
All DiCaprio fans wonder, well argue: there was room on that door, Jack could of survived.
It’s been 21 years and DiCaprio has finally expressed his thoughts on the most controversial film questions probably of all time.
