Blood on a Vineyard Vines T-shirt and a bra are believed to belong to missing New Canaan mother Jennifer Dulos.
Reports confirm the items were found on Albany Avenue in Hartford, the same area her estranged husband Fotis Dulos was seen on camera throwing away bags of trash. Fotis was throwing away multiple bags in separate trash cans and bins along the avenue at 7 p.m. on May 4, the same day Jennifer disappeared. There was also bloodstains and “suspected” blood splatter in the garage of Jennifer’s home.
“I’m in the 5 to 10 percent category,” Fotis said when it comes to innocent estranged husbands whose wife ends up missing.
Norm Pattis, Fotis’s lawyer, claims the bloody t-shirt is a desperation call.
“I am unaware of any evidence about what she was wearing when she disappeared. This sounds like desperate speculation.”
Two days before she vanished, Fotis was eating dinner at her New Canaan home, communicating again through their divorce. He claims they just started talking again mid-April and that he would never wish any ill towards her.
According to Jennifer’s own words, she was afraid of him. During the divorce, she claimed she feared for her life after Fotis bought a handgun. She described Fotis as a man who is “irrational, unsafe, bullying, threatening and controlling behavior.”
Fotis and his girlfriend Michelle Troconis are set to be in court on August 9 for hindering prosecution and tampering with evidence.
