With A.J. Green and John Ross’s health not 100 percent and the season starts in a month, the Cincinnati Bengals need some help in their receiver core.
The last time Bengals had great receivers was back when they were called Batman and Robin – Chad Johnson and Terrell Owens.
A hot head with talent, Johnson was a favorite in Cincinnati and he has no problem helping them out. Johnson uses Twitter a lot and tweeted the Bengals that he’s available to help and he won’t do it for a contract but a McDonald’s coupon book.
“Bengals, I’m available for training camp to preserve the starting receivers legs, don’t need a contract just a McDonald’s coupon book from th one in Convington & I’ll run all day.”
May not be a bad idea to keep their receivers healthy for regular season. Plus seeing Johnson and Owens back on the field would be awesome.
Just some stats: Johnson had 10,783 receiving yards and 66 touchdowns in nine seasons with the Bengals before playing for the New England Patriots in 2011. Green is entering his eighth season and has 8,907 receiving yard and 63 touchdowns. He has Johnson beat when it comes to touchdowns as hes only three shy in the same time span but he’s also 1,876 yards behind.
