CNN reports that a court convicted a man of defamation after he liked comments on Facebook. The comments were by a third party that accused an “animal rights activist of racism, fascism and anti-Semitism”.

By liking the comment, it indirectly endorsed the comment.

The Zurich court fined him $4,000 and he does have rights to appeal.
