Kobe Bryant was fined $100k for calling a ref a “faggot” and now the NBA has fined Knicks’ Amare Stoudemire $50,000 for direct messaging a fan a gay slur on Twitter. The fan took a screen shot of the DM to prove it was the verified account of Stoudemire. Stoudemire apologized:

I apologize for what I said earlier. I just got off the plane and had time to think about it. Sorry bro!! No Excuses. Won’t happen again

The NBA fined him because:
